On the day we could enrol into courses, I brought my laptop with me. Unfortunately, the building I was in had shitty reception with the university’s wireless internet connection. Fortunately, I could tether my phone to my laptop, and that allowed me to access the internet.

Before the majority of the course convenors in the Arts & Social Sciences department discovered that it was possible to do tutorial sign-ups on the ~internetz~, we had a write-your-name-on-a-list-in-the-hallway system. If you dared to be the last person to write your name on a particular list, thus filling that class up, you would be given the most filthy looks from whoever was standing behind you, waiting to put their name in the same place.

At least with online sign-ups, you can avoid that. Your peers don’t know that it was YOU that took the last spot. Haha.

Wow, $9.20 to travel? That’s quite expensive! How are you traveling there? By taxi? I do hope the interview goes well though!

And I agree — coffee from McDonalds is just bad. So unless I’m desperate, or if it comes virtually free with a meal, I don’t drink it.

P.S. I got my pop-tarts from SugarFix under Myer in the City.
